Tutoring & Writing Support

  • The Learning Center (TLC) at TUJ offers free online and in-person peer-tutoring services in a variety of subjects.
  • Tutoring is an opportunity for students to discuss their work, get support for assignments, learn to integrate instructor feedback, ask questions, brainstorm ideas, practice and apply skills, and develop academic aptitude.
  • Tutoring sessions are led by trained TUJ students who have demonstrated proficiency in their respective disciplines. 
     

  Make an In-person or Online Tutoring Appointment

Sign up to meet with a tutor for personalized support in Writing, Math, Japanese, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Psychology, and more. Get the help you need to succeed in your courses!

  1. Schedule a Session with a TUJ Tutor  - Zoom or In-Person
  2. Backup Option: Schedule a TU Philadelphia Tutor - Zoom Only

 

  Can’t meet with a Writing Tutor?

If you cannot meet with a tutor and would like written feedback on an academic writing assignment, submit your paper online using the options below. 

  1. Submit a Paper for Feedback from a TUJ Tutor
    Follow the prompt to “enroll in course” and upload your paper for feedback. You will not have to meet with a tutor. A TUJ tutor will provide written feedback, usually within 48 hours.
     
  2. Backup Option: Submit to a TU Philadelphia Tutor – “E-tutoring”
    This type of “appointment” allows you to get feedback on a writing project. You will schedule a 2-hour block appointment, and will receive written feedback by the end of the scheduled time. 

 

  Success Coaching

Do you sometimes find it difficult to manage your coursework? Do you struggle to stay motivated in a busy semester? Have you ever felt anxious when taking tests or preparing assignments? Could your studying skills be stronger?

If so, we’re here to help. Our student success coaches are available Monday through Friday to meet with you on Zoom or in-person to give you some friendly and informed advice on how to improve your scholastic skills and lead your best academic life.

 

  TUJ Tutoring for Other Subjects
